Massembre: hiking and overnight stay in the heart of nature
Domaine de Massembre is nestled in 140 hectares of nature, close to the Meuse and the French border. From the estate, you immediately step into the forests and valleys around Heer-sur-Meuse. In Nodemapp, you will find several hiking trails starting in Massembre.
Massembre is also a comfortable base to explore the wider region. By car, you can easily reach the National Park Vallée de la Semois and the National Park Entre-Sambre-et-Meuse. Both natural areas offer a wide choice of walks through forests, along rivers, over ridges, and to remarkable viewpoints.
After your walk, you return to the tranquility of Massembre. You can have a drink at the bar, sit down in the restaurant, and stay overnight comfortably. In the new building Lisière, you stay in contemporary rooms, surrounded by greenery. This way, you combine hikes from the estate with trips to some of Wallonia's most beautiful natural areas.

The Route Planner Pro has changed a bit on our new website. The ability to plan routes that deviate from the hiking network is now integrated into our node planner (continue reading below image):
If you open our route planner, you can press the magnet symbol in the upper right corner. If you then choose Offgrid (auto) (automatic route planning) or Offgrid (manual) (connecting places manually), you can select places on the map and plan a route that deviates (partially or completely) from the hiking network.
You can switch between Node and Offgrid mode to create a route that runs partly along nodes and partly away from the node network.
