Description
The route starts at the beautiful market square in Tervuren and heads toward the Kapbos, a stately section of the Sonian Forest on the outskirts of Duisburg. You’ll walk through dead-straight avenues and the picturesque, sunken Wolvenweg to the Dronkemansdreef. There, a view of Duisburg and Eizer awaits you. On the outskirts of Tervuren lies the imposing Panquin Barracks. The horseshoe-shaped building served as the prestigious entrance to the now-vanished summer residence that Charles of Lorraine had built in the 18th century.
Before you set out: This is a walk on a virtual hiking network. The junctions are not marked on the ground. Follow the wooden posts with yellow bands.
This walk is presented by Tourism Flemish Brabant and Visit Tervuren.
You can download the route at www.visittervuren.be, and it is also described in a walking brochure available at the visitor center, Markt 7B in Tervuren.

Saturday, December 25, 2021 by Yves VlasselaerWonderful walk through the Tervuren woods, good signage through some 40 numbered wooden posts with yellow stripe and arrow indicating direction. Muddy strips in the forest (Christmas Day 2021), not suitable for baby carriages, all the more for dogs. Start on village square of Tervuren (not Duisburg).

Thursday, June 25, 2020 by Kati De Smet KatiI thought it was a very nice green laden hike on a very hot day !
Although I find the signage between cave market and the next yellow post shabby....
A beautiful view on the fields from the forest in the half of the hike !
Luckily the lady of the toetist service was helping us.
