Departure: Church of Saint-André of Tournai – Place 12, 7521 Tournai

We head towards the River Scheldt. Via the cycle path, we walk past the old, former lime kilns. A little further, we see on the opposite side of the river modern industry where lime, cement and gravel are loaded into flat barges to be shipped further.

Then we make a short detour to the Park of the Five Rocks, a former quarry that has today been transformed into a nature park with numerous benches and sheltered picnic spots. Not much further, we reach the charming workers' hamlet of Calonne.

Then we return to the Scheldt. We walk under the impressive railway bridge built for the TGV connection between Brussels and Paris. Then we turn towards the fields back to the starting point. In these fields, there are also dozens of wind turbines generating sustainable electricity.

There are no dining facilities along the way.
