Icon description route Description

This walk introduces you to the rolling landscape of Hoeselt, where hollow roads, field paths, and quiet alleys alternate.

You start in the center and walk past the Mary Grotto to an atmospheric orchard, which is a real eye-catcher, especially during the blossom period.

The route is characterized by the castle landscape of Haspengouw and connects the charming Castle of Schalkhoven with the stately Castle of Hardelingen. Along the way, you will walk through a varied decor of park gardens, fields, and nature reserves, with beautiful vistas.

After a steep climb, you are rewarded with a panoramic view reaching as far as the mining dumps of Genk and the tower of the Basilica of Our Lady in Tongeren.

In the last part, you pass by a consolation place with a linden tree and the artwork #inconcreto, which towers above the landscape as a lookout point.

The route follows paved and semi-paved roads and can be muddy in wet weather.
