Departure: Parking at the Tourist Office - Chaussée de Mariemont 71 - Morlanwelz

We begin the walk in the park and the Royal Museum of Mariemont. This park was donated to the Belgian state by Raoul Warocqué in 1917. The original castle was destroyed by fire in 1960. The ruins are still visible in the park, along with the sculpture garden and the renovated museum further ahead.

After the park, we head into the nature and forest. In the hamlet of Le Dieu d’En Bas, we cross an area with caravans of all sizes and colors, unfortunately largely in a state of disrepair. We then continue our walk via the RAVeL paths, old railway embankments which now serve as cycling and walking routes. Unfortunately, the sound of the E42 is never far away here. We follow these paths through the forest and pass an old small railway station in the hamlet of L’Olive along the way.

No catering services along the way and also no benches or resting points.
