This short, yet surprisingly beautiful walk starts at the ruins of the abbey of Thuin.

Originally, we wanted to enter the woods, but the intended paths turned out to be closed, overgrown, or disappeared.

Therefore, we chose an alternative route along the quiet bike paths by the Sambre.

The first two kilometers involve some elevation changes, but then we come onto paved roads and bike paths, and a nice section along the railway.

There is plenty of hospitality around the abbey afterward to have a meal or a drink.
