Icon description route Description

This accessible walk takes you through the historic center of Grimbergen, the Pearl of Brabant. The Maalbeek stream and its watermill will be your constant companions. The Liermolen is one of those mills; it’s part of the MOT, just like the Guldendal, which you’ll also pass by. Via the Kloosterdam, you’ll reach the center with the Prinsenbos and the imposing ruins of the Prinsenkasteel. The St. Servatius Basilica, the abbey, and the MIRA Public Observatory are just a short detour from the walk. Finish off with a delicious beer at the Grimbergen Abbey Brewery.

Before you set out: You can also shorten the route to 1.5 or 3.5 km. You’ll encounter all the highlights of the route on the 3.5-km route.
