Description
Explore the Winge Valley, the Dunbergbroek, and the Kloosterbroekbos, which—together with Horst—make up the Hagelandse Vallei nature reserve. Get up close with the herd of fox-headed sheep that help manage the grasslands, and spot hawks, polecats, kingfishers, or roe deer—they thrive in this landscape. Follow the meandering Winge River and pass the Uithemmolen. In the Dunbergbroek, you’ll find eight bomb craters, created when a wartime aircraft ran into trouble in 1945 and dropped its payload.
Before you set out: The trail is marked in both directions with an orange circle.
