Description
The rich history of the town of Zoutleeuw will amaze you during this walk. Right from the start, as you set off from the Grote Markt, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped back into the Middle Ages, with landmarks such as the Gothic St. Leonard’s Church, the centuries-old town hall, and the Spiegelhuis—the oldest house on the square. The historic cobblestones of Koepoortstraat lead you to the lush natural surroundings of the Kleine Gete and the Dormaalbeek. Stop at the square Bethania Chapel, built in 1659 by the long-gone Bethania Convent.
