Description

Walk through the Scheldemeersen and the former willow plantations of Zingem. Willow twigs were made into 'wannen': flat baskets to separate the wheat from the chaff. Someone who patched up broken walls was called a 'wannenlapper'. Pass Meuleken 't Dal, the smallest windmill in East Flanders.
