Icon description route Description

This walking loop is located between the Scheldt and the Dender near Dendermonde, where both rivers converge.

There is ample parking space at café-bistro De Rust, which is also the most suitable as both start and end point. When leaving the parking area, go left to the walking junction 76.

From there, follow the junctions 77, 78, 79, 36, 35 (between 36 and 35 we slightly deviate to take an unpaved section - see map), 74, 73, 72, 69 (between these last two junctions we take a ferry), 70 and then along the Ferry of Appels and the Scheldt via junctions 75 and 76 back to De Rust.

This is a completely flat walk that leads, among other things, past the nature reserve De Maey, a serenity area not to be missed.
