Icon description route Description

Nature walk along mostly unpaved roads or paths, in a region with varying relief. Starting point Louise-Marie is right on the border of Ronse and Maarkedal. The name of the hamlet is a tribute to the first Belgian queen. Magnificent views of the valley of the Trosbeek and the Muziekbos with the Muziekberg (148 m) and the Geuzentoren as literal highlights.

The Muziekbos hiking trail is offered by Routen, an initiative of Tourism East Flanders.

Saturday, March 2, 2024 by J.D.Tough but very nice hiking trail. Did this hike in the middle of February so some trails were very muddy. TIP: waterproof shoes :-)

Friday, October 14, 2022 by V.C.I did this hike last Sunday morning and enjoyed it from the first minute to the last. There are indeed some tough bits in it, but the surroundings and the landscapes make it more than worth it. Highly recommended !

Sunday, April 10, 2022 by B.B.Tough but very beautiful and varied hike. Lots of elevation change with beautiful views. Recommended for fit hikers. For child baby carriages this hike seems to me to be a difficult story.

Sunday, May 30, 2021 by C.E.Top hike! Lots of elevation changes though, especially in the beginning tough climbing, but the hike is well worth it, beautiful through peaceful nature reserve! A gem of a hike!

Thursday, April 1, 2021 by M.B.A very nice hike. We also saw a group of deer that we were able to observe for a while and a little further on there were three squirrels playing with each other. They went from one tree to another over gossamer branches. It was very very amazing.

Monday, December 28, 2020 by Sarah JanssensVery nice hike. Due to the bad weather of previous days, certain trails were very muddy but we saw that as an extra challenge. Our children (7-9 years old) were not bored. The playground was a nice extra.

Tuesday, September 1, 2020 by G.M.Beautiful hike with fantastic views. Recommended: decent hiking shoes. There is no trash can on the entire route. So bring your own bag. Starting point: in front of the church of Louise-Marie (Maarkedal). There is parking. Signposting okay, but the signs are sometimes a bit "hidden" in bushes. Principle: no sign = straight on.
