Description
There’s something mysterious about those sunken roads in the Dijleland region. And this Ruwaal walk takes you through the most beautiful examples. Some of them drop as much as six meters deep between the fields. Moreover, the sunken roads aren’t the only treasures along the way: in the Neo-Romanesque St. Bartholomew’s Church in Korbeek-Dijle, you can admire the precious late-Gothic St. Stephen Altarpiece from the year 1552.

Wednesday, March 8, 2023 by F.H.Many hollow roads indeed, but also a long stretch on open fields with beautiful views without any houses. In rainy weather some of the trails are small rivers, but not excessively muddy so they are still good to walk. Good signage. You do hear a bit of the highway now and then in the vertje.
