A child-friendly walk around the Zoet Water ponds in the Meerdaalwoud & Heverleebos. Quench your thirst at the Minnebron—yes, the water is safe to drink—and take a short walk to the Baroque Chapel of Our Lady of Steenbergen, built in 1651–1652. Children can have a great time on the playground equipment at the Zoet Water municipal recreation park. Afterward, relax at one of the many outdoor patios at the restaurants and cafes along the ponds.

This walk can also be started from the Oud-Heverlee train station. Follow the trail markers 13 – 14 – 17 – 16 – 15 – 14 – 12 – 13 – 1. That’ll cover 6 km.
