Icon description route Description

We did this shady walk on 06/23/2025 (12,315 steps).

Free parking at the spacious "Parking Boulodrome" in Dudelange.

The route is marked in both directions with a red circle on a white background. You mostly walk through the beautiful forests with occasional glimpses of the surroundings. It's an ideal summer walk!

This cross-border hiking route, connecting the municipalities of Dudelange and Volmerange-les-Mines, is laid out on former mining areas in both municipalities, whose prosperity began to grow from 1885 after the construction of the first ARBED factory.

Steel production ended on November 30, 1984, when the blast furnaces, steel mills, and rolling mills closed. Minette is an ore with a low iron content, and the route was named "Minette Trail" in memory of iron ore mining in this region.
