Description
Parking at café Den Arend (pt 124) or Chartreuzebos Meidries (pt 113) or Linden (pt 5).
For those who love ups and downs, forest/field, and different terrains... this walk is just perfect. That some climbing is regularly required is, of course, evident in this hilly region. The advantage is that you are often rewarded with a beautiful view.
In the Chartreuzebos and Lindenbos, with their mighty trees and colorful spring blooms, the environment is completely different from the open fields around Kortrijk-Dutsel.
Typical for the region are the hollow roads that still contain some cobblestone patches here and there. But make no mistake, they can become quite muddy and slippery during wet periods.
You will also pass both new and old farms that fit perfectly into the quiet environment. Apart from the start at café Den Arend and the center of Linden (pt 5), you won't encounter any hospitality spots.
Good walking shoes are recommended due to the uneven terrain. Dogs on a leash are welcome.

Friday, August 21, 2026 by Tom LeuckxI walked this route yesterday; I briefly lost track of the marker between 115 and 114 (I just walked right past it), but since everything is very well marked, it was a very pleasant walk. Just be careful on the section from route 5 to 52 near the water tower. The sign there is currently heavily overgrown with ivy...
