Description
Take in the natural beauty of the green Lovenjoel as you stroll along field and forest paths along the banks of the Molenbeek. Discover a wealth of rare plants in the Bruulbos. You can also visit the Chapel of Saint Ermelindis, patron saint against fever, lameness, and eye pain. The saint is said to have been born here in the 7th century. No matter how dry the summer may be, the Bruulbos remains very wet and muddy all year round. Boots are recommended.
Before you set out: This is a walk on a virtual hiking network. The junctions are not marked on the ground. Follow the hexagonal red-and-white signs bearing the name of the walk.

Sunday, March 23, 2025 by D.D.To find the start sign you need to follow , to the right of the church, 50m down the track. (towards the railroad). Only downside is some walking along busy Steenweg. Yet beautiful spring walk with first spring flowers, both wild and in gardens. Also spotted a colony of sand bees and rescued a couple of toads from the well near the Chapel of Saint-Ermelindis.

Wednesday, August 5, 2020 by A.B.The walk in the woods, after a long stretch of walking along the busy Leuvensesteenweg, makes up for a lot. And where one goes along Flemish roads.... Limburgers meet. Fine acquaintance!
