This walk can be started from the station (allow about 1 km round trip for the approach route) or from one of the two parking lots. During this walk, which mostly takes place through the Grünewald forest, you pass by a large underground archaeological site. This consists of an artificial water source from Roman times. About thirty-five wells are carved into the rocks and connected by a main gallery of 600 m and additional galleries. Here, the groundwater was collected for Roman villas.

On our way, we also find the foundations of a large Roman palace at the foot of the 'Sonnebierg' in Helmsange (ca. 30 B.C.), now partially restored. Furthermore, this walk offers stunning views of Walferdange and the surrounding villages.
