Icon description route Description

This beautiful walk is one of the six loops that the ‘Mullerthal Trail’ offers, namely the ‘Mullerthal Trail Extra Tour B’.

We parked at the edge of the forest near ‘Bigelbach’, a small village north of ‘Beaufort’. Immediately, we were treated to a beautiful view of the surroundings.

The trail goes through forests and fields towards ‘Beaufort’, which we briefly touch to walk past two campsites to the valley of the ‘Birkbach’, a stream located in a beautiful valley surrounded by rock formations.

Once we leave the ‘Birkbach Valley’, we come across an old quarry that was still active until 1957. You can still clearly recognize the railway bed where the extracted stone was transported by small trains.

The walk then continues through the forest back to ‘Bigelbach’.
