Dessel is best known for the Graspop Metal Meeting (also simply called Graspop or GMM(xx)). It is an annual multi-day metal festival held in Dessel, in the Belgian province of Antwerp.

Since 2008, the festival attracts around 135,000 visitors each year. From 2011 onwards, it has been a four-day festival that, with few exceptions, takes place every year on the last weekend of June. It usually coincides with the French metal festival Hellfest.
