Icon description route Description

The route is well marked in both directions with a blue diamond on a white background.

We chose to walk it clockwise. You park at the town hall of Winseler. After following the village street for a short while, you turn right onto a paved country road that leads to the PC 20.

Once the PC 20 is reached, the walking path follows the bike path that was laid on the former railway line between Kautenbach and Bastogne. Soon you pass through an old, well-restored railway tunnel and then continue to follow the PC 20 into the hamlet of Schleif. Schleif owes its name to the Middle High German 'Slîfe', which means 'gristmill'. There is also a place to stop for a drink in Schleif.

After this well-deserved break, you head back to Winseler, towards Grümmelscheid, along the Wiltz river and through the forest.
