Just count the hamlets you pass through—there are five of them. But the best-known village is Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-Lombeek, which was a finalist in the “Most Beautiful Village in Flanders” contest as recently as 2008. It was once an important pilgrimage site, and in the 1960s, the Hertboommolen served as the setting for the TV series *Kapitein Zeppos*. You’ll walk through rolling fields and along a few beautiful sunken roads to Rokkenborch Castle, the Gothic Church of Our Lady, and the Hulsbroek Forest.

Saturday, December 16, 2023 by A.B.5 stars....that's what attracted me to this route. Big big big disappointment. Only asphalt on small country roads. Full of cars and tractors. I had to constantly stand on the embankment to let the vehicles through. Very urbanized route. Few corners of nature except on the last stretch. Nice views, but unfortunately constant cars.
