Description
The four villages on this walk? They are Gaasbeek, Sint-Laureins-Berchem, Oudenaken, and Elingen. They’re vying for the title of the most idyllic village in the Pajottenland. Gaasbeek has the biggest draw: the beautiful Gaasbeek Castle with its wooded park. You’ll also pass the Bailiff’s House in Lennik, charming little chapels, and rolling fields and meadows.

Sunday, October 19, 2025 by B.W.Hike in a beautiful area but too many paved roads with accompanying traffic. Few beautiful picturesque hiking trails notwithstanding the abundance of them in the wider area.

Monday, July 28, 2025 by D.K.Very pleasant and varied, undulating walk with beautiful churches, innumerable chapels and a Geuze café at arrival (café De Pajot) and along the way (Hoevebrouwerij Guldenhooft).

Wednesday, January 8, 2025 by R.V.Enjoyed this walk in early October in an undulating landscape, with Brabant draught horses in the background, fields, small villages, narrow roads, ... and also the beautiful castle of Gaasbeek. Both the castle park and the castle itself as well as the museum garden are more than worth a visit.
