Icon description route Description

Galmaarden originated on the banks of the Mark River. The route leads you past the water mills of Galmaarden. First off, you'll walk about 600 meters along the Mark, before continuing over the low slopes of the Beverbeek valley. The Mark River flowing through the municipality provided the necessary water power to power the various mills. Today only the Heetveldemolen is still in active use.

This walk is offered by Tourism Flemish Brabant.

Sunday, May 24, 2020 by R.V.As usual well-marked route. Varied (especially in the beginning). Definitely worthwhile. However, you pass only 1 water mill.
