Description
A desert in Flemish Brabant? Believe it or not, this walk takes you from the center of Gooik to the hamlet of Woestijn, a green and picturesque spot. Enjoy the views of the countryside, the Molenbeek Valley, the Kesterheide, the Zavelberg, and the windmill in Lombeek. You’ll pass the Woestijn Chapel, a centuries-old pilgrimage site, and the former inn Drie Egypten, where pilgrims used to rest and recharge. You can recharge at Volkscafé De Cam or pay a visit to Geuzestekerij De Cam or the Folk Instrument Museum.
