Just when you think the Pajot landscape around the village of Heikruis couldn’t get any more beautiful, the walk takes you through Ter Rijst Castle Park. This park has everything a romantic soul could wish for: arched bridges, winding paths, neatly manicured lawns, and graceful old trees. The castle itself dates back to the fifteenth century but acquired its imposing neoclassical appearance in the nineteenth century. You can stroll here in complete peace and quiet. In the spring, you can fully enjoy the beautiful display of flowers.
