Description
For centuries, pilgrims traveled along the Sint-Jobsweg to the Church of St. Martin in Wezemaal to venerate St. Job, one of the patron saints against the plague. You’ll walk past vineyards, through forests, and along sunken paths across the hills of the Hageland. Take a moment to sit on a bench at the beautiful Horst Castle and feel the centuries of history come alive. The Wagenhuis houses a visitor center with a heritage shop and a cozy local inn. You’ll also walk past the Heilige Geestmolen, a 16th-century watermill on the Winge River.

Thursday, September 17, 2020 by Guy Van dammeA varied and beautiful walk in the hilly Hageland landscape with magnificent views. The vicarage of Rode, a 17th century stately vicarage with moat and the Castle of Horst are highlights.
We thoroughly enjoyed this walk with a wonderful stop at the Wagenhuis to quench our thirst.
