Looking for some true peace and quiet? Then this walk through a rural part of the Hageland and past a real Lourdes grotto is well worth it. You’ll stroll through a rolling landscape of fields, orchards, and meadows. Have you noticed how colorful Waanrode looks in the summer? For years, the village hosted flower festivals. That’s no longer the case, but the residents of Waanrode still love to literally bring their flowers out into the open. In early spring, this walk is a flower festival in itself, as the blossoms color the fruit orchards.
