Description
Did you know that the Werchter festival grounds are also a beautiful park for walking outside of festival season? Discover Werchter Park and its beautiful surroundings—you definitely won’t be able to miss the stacked shipping containers by artist Arne Quinze. Every year, street artists bring the North West Walls to life. You’ll walk along the banks of the Dijle to Tremelo and back to Werchter via the Damiaan Bridge for a refreshing Jack-Op at the Jack-Op cultural center. Relive music history at the Rock Werchter experience center.
Please note: the walk is not accessible during the festival season from May through August.

Friday, May 1, 2026 by Elke Van KelstThe first part of the walk is definitely worth it! From about halfway through the route, you walk along the Dijle River the whole way—it could have been a bit more varied for our taste

Monday, October 31, 2022 by A.V.Very nice walk through beautiful nature. Along the Demer it is busier though. Walkers and cyclists mixed together.

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 by Peter Van der HaegenA nice walk along the meadow (beautifully maintained, by the way!) where the best Rock Festival in the world takes place every year. The container artwork on the meadow is certainly worth seeing. Then follows a rural part with at one end the path along the meandering Dijle. Easy to find free parking near the Rockweide.
