Description
The Rock meadow walk is all about the annual Rock Werchter festival, which every year completely transforms the charming village of Werchter. Along this walk, you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings hidden behind the festival grounds at Werchter Park. You can't look past the stacked shipping containers by artist Arne Quinze. The North West Walls is a wondrous landscape beacon worked to life each year by street art artists.
Stroll along the Dijledijk to junction 500. When you cross the bridge, you can walk along Pater Damiaanstraat towards the starting point. After 600 m you come out at the Damiaan Museum. Follow the Dijledijk back towards Werchter where a refreshing Jack-Op awaits you in the cultural centre Jack-Op and you can further immerse yourself in the music scene in the experience center of Rock Werchter.
Important: the walk is not accessible during the festival season from May to August.

Friday, May 1, 2026 by Elke Van KelstThe first part of the walk is definitely worth it! From about halfway through the route, you walk along the Dijle River the whole way—it could have been a bit more varied for our taste

Wednesday, March 10, 2021 by Peter Van der HaegenA nice walk along the meadow (beautifully maintained, by the way!) where the best Rock Festival in the world takes place every year. The container artwork on the meadow is certainly worth seeing. Then follows a rural part with at one end the path along the meandering Dijle. Easy to find free parking near the Rockweide.
