Icon description route Description

It’s no coincidence that “Dwars door het Hageland” is known as the Strade Bianche of the North. On this gravel route, you’ll discover the most challenging gravel sections from the race. It starts off gently through the Meetshovenbos toward Aarschot, until the Demer comes into view and the first gravel paths appear. Then come the gravel roads of the Demerbroeken and the forest trails of Averbode. The slopes of the Grasbos are also known as the Poggio of Diest, and even more climbs await you, such as the one to the Diest Citadel and to the famous Vlooyberg Tower.

Thursday, April 15, 2021 by W.R.Nice bike ride, some tough bits to climb here and there. Focused on all terrain cycling though - seems less suitable for a course bike. I will definitely come back
