Icon description route Description

You get to know the Zwinstreek and the sea polders between Knokke-Heist and Damme. The area forms one of the most intact polder landscapes in Flanders. You cycle along the Damse Vaart and over old seawall dikes. Along picturesque villages with old farms. You also pass the coast with Duinbergen, Albertstrand and the wooded inner dunes of the Zoute.

With thanks to Westtoer.

Sunday, June 19, 2022 by Bernard WielfaertNice quiet route. The signs are indeed all gone. Captured the route with nodes via the GPX file. But one small deviation when crossing, we passed by Sluis, the spacious ploderoute did not.

Sunday, September 12, 2021 by R.V.This is curious, I can't find the signs for this route anymore, they must have been taken away....but why on earth ? It was too easy, it is a bit all over the place to take away those signs....and now ? How can I continue cycling ?

A very nice road. Some missing signs ... especially between Koolkerkesteenweg and Ronselarestraat (after Damme) and at the exit of Oostkerke.
We need a lot more signs....
But doable :-)

Friday, July 20, 2018 by R.S.In a few places the signage could be a little better. Some missing signs?
Also, the GPS route (gpx file) does not quite match the placed signs. According to the signs you have to go straight on, while the GPS route says "turn right". A few hundred meters further on it comes back together again.
Otherwise a nice route.

Wednesday, July 11, 2018 by Theo Metten Nice varied tour through the polders and the different villages/towns around Damme, definitely recommended.
The signs seem to have been recently renewed, so perfect to follow.

Friday, August 11, 2017 by P.C.Beautiful bike route. The signs, especially those in the sun, are sometimes almost impossible to read (arrow practically impossible to see, unless from very close for which you have to get off the bike). So very urgent that they are repainted.

Thursday, June 29, 2017 by M.K.Beautiful route, indeed on the coast all signs are without trace, inland it is better ... Just a bit of searching: at the works in Westkapelle there is a detour also for cyclists.
