Icon description route Description

One is one! During this bicycle tour you feast on two exceptional cycling experiences in a trip through Central Limburg. From C-Mine in Genk, we first head towards Hoge Kempen National Park. We dive into the park at Kattevennen Entrance Gate. Shady forest paths lead us via Zutendaal to junction 550, starting point for Cycling through the Heath, a 4 km long route across the Mechelse Heide. First you cycle through rough woods, but then you get heathland, as far as you can see. And talk about looking far! Climb the watchtower at Station As for a magnificent panorama of the National Park and the Limburg mining area. We set course along the mine tracks of Waterschei, Zwartberg and Winterslag towards Bokrijk. Here the bike path goes right through a pond, from one bank to the other. Cycling through the Water at node 91, with the water surface at eye level on either side. Allee, where do you see something like that?

Monday, September 11, 2023 by C.H.Very disappointing. Some beautiful stretches, but far too many along busy roads - and that for cycling paradise Limburg???? By the way, the assessment of the "flat" route should be taken with a grain of salt. We had to push quite a bit.

Monday, August 1, 2022 by B.D.In my opinion the least beautiful route , many large and busy roads passed , almost no possibility to do a Picnic , too much industry that is also accompanied by heavy traffic . For me not a topper .
