Explore the rich mining past of the town of Colfontaine, which is a mix of former collieries and green spaces, and step inside Van Gogh’s House in Wasmes, where he lived among the miners of the region to better represent them in his art. This house in Colfontaine remains one of the few witnesses to his presence in the Borinage, the theme of his first ventures into drawing.
